I don’t just want to take your breath away. I want to rip it from your mouth and keep it locked away between my teeth. You can only have it back if you kiss me again. Meggie Royer, Literary Sexts (via larmoyante)

An elegant archway at the entrance of the New York Public Library.
I realize I’m not a published poet, or literary genius, but you wouldn’t dream of removing Neil Gaiman’s name from a quote, or use Anais Nin’s words as your own, or describe a life experience from a John Green novel as if you lived it…so don’t take anything I’ve said with any less relevancy and disrespect a forum that is open to people from all over the world who share their personal thoughts and life experiences. You and I are equal in owning the validity of the words we share; so respect the original author of a quote or musing, even if you think it may not be as significant because the words didn’t some from someone famous….don’t think for one second that the weight of our words have less bearing because we aren’t published authors. Anyone who has the gumption to share one real thought in their head deserves the consideration to have their name or URL left on their words.
